Email Contacts Directory

I have a 10.1" generic "Vortex_4" tablet running Android 4.
I use the supplied email programme, but cannot find a Email Contact Directory in it, where I can store my Contact addresses.
Is there one on it, or should I download another email facility?

Look in the app drawer for "people". That's probably where the contacts are.

The stock Email app does not have a way to browse contacts. You can start typing a name or email address and it will show options from your contacts.
