epad flytouch g sensor and other

Hi, I've just bought one of these unbranded off EBAY as battery faulty(wasn't). Pretty sure its a flytouch
It has :-
24 pin expansion port (ipod plug too big to fit)
red/green led top righthand corner
vibrates
web cam (middle top)
256 mb
wmt 1.9.1_105
android 1.6
kernel 2.6.29-00236-g4f8dbbb-dirty

market place does work
You tube locks up and requests to close

Anyway here are my issues for the guru's if they would kindly reply.
1st the g sensor if fitted doesnt respond, settings "set" but no joy in use.
2nd the video playback is poor-only watchable at low resolution- any tips?
3rd Is there a Rom upgrade (and how to do it) for this build, to speed it up( I've seen numerous pleas for help with bricked units so want to be sure I don't kill it)

You don't have a flytouch (sadly), you have one of those knock-off iPads I think. I know for sure that it is not a Flytouch because Flytouches do not have a 24-pin port.
