Facebook App Now Available

My wife and I were sitting around, messing with our VTABs (the family that VTABs together, stays together?) and tells me a friend had told her we should install the Facebook app. "Yeah, honey, I know," I replied, "but the Facebook app isn't available for the VTAB yet. "

Then I go look, just to be sure, and lo and behold, now it is

Oh, joy got rid of the it on everything else.

I haven't used it much yet. Discovered it just before my wife and I were getting set to watch Thor (enjoyed it, btw), then it was time to wrap it up for the day and get to bed. But my initial impression is "What's the big deal?" I don't see how that app is all that more convenient/useful/etc. than the FB mobile page. What am I missing?

I installed the current version from the SD Card using "unknown sources" method and now when I go to the market it shows "Installed". Nice to see that more apps are showing up.
