forgot passcode and gmail name, locked out

ok so when my gf bought the s7 tablet i quickly set up a gmail account for her. she wouldnt be using as a real email, only for the market. i told her what the email and password was. she set a design passcode on the tablet, and she forgot what the design was. now the only other way to get in is to type the gmail account in. guess what? she cant remember what it is and i dont remember. any other way to get into it so it doesnt become a 300 dollar paper weight?

I believe a hard reset is menu, green send key and power, in that order. When it powers on release the power button. When the android pops up release the other two buttons. This will reboot your S7 to factory wiping all data.

i tried this but isnt working. it just goes to the screen where i have to input the gmail address
