frustrated ...tablet is locked or or frozen

I have had my asus tf300t aprox 6 months all of a sudden it started locking up on me for short periods of time like a second or two gradually getting worse now its totally locked and wont e
xcept any input the virus scan that ran three days ago came back clean any one wlse have this problem or know of a solution.
