Full touch screen access while on HDMI???

hello, i just got a mini hdmi cable, it works pefect with the c71 for videos and photos, but not for gaming. it doesn't let me use the touch screen as usual. i have to double tap for it to work every time i take my finger off the screen, not good for gaming. is there any way to fix this? is it fixed in 4.0? thanks
