Galaxy Tab Ext. Keyboard Dock problem - reboot req to use keyboard

I've got the Samsung brand (not a clone) external Keyboard/Dock for my Galaxy Tab WIFI only runing Android 2.2.1. I like it, except - I find that I must reboot the TAB each time I want to use the keyboard! When I drop the Tab into the dock, it makes a sound like it knows its been plugged in, but the keys won't work until I reboot the TAB while sitting in the dock. Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking something isn't right...mine works immediately upon being dropped into the dock, whether the dock is plugged into the wall or not. You do have to switch your input method to Samsung keyboard for the dock to work, though. Have you tried that?

My experience with the dock is the same as WERA's, so something doesn't sound right with your setup.

mine is doing the same thing. i does this more when it is plugged into power. i have not been able to determine what is happening at this time.
