Gingerbread..

I was looking around at Cyanogenmod (for the first time); obviously they are working on Gingerbread mod for tablets, and I was wondering:

1, is Gingerbread an upgrade our Gentouch's can handle?
2, which flavour/ mod will be eventually possible to use on the Gentouch?

Anybody any experience with Cyanogenmod (or coming Gingerbread)?
