I recently launched the My Tracks application, and I got a screen with a message: "My Tracks is deprecated" and if you look into what means, it's that After April 30, 2016 you can't "use it" whatever that means.
Either the app will not do anything at all, or you can't get and map data from Google? It's your call until April 30th....
So you might want to start looking for another GPS tracking app just in case MyTracks is really, truly dead. But in most cases, because all the GPS tracking/mapping apps I have looked into, all use the Google Map data, there may be a problem.
Maybe Bing will fill in the map-data gap?
