How can I get Google Play to recognize my no name Chinese made Wonder Media 8650 Android tablet? I want apps from there and it doesn't detect my tablet.

Welcome to the forum

There are many tablets that aren't approved by Google to use the Play Store app. There are ways to get it installed but your easiest solution may be to check this thread which applies to people who can't get the Google app.

Thanks!! I will check them out. I can use Amazon apps, but not too impressed with their selection.
