Green Notification light turned into different Color - How to disable it

Hi

Even though the tablet is in Airplane mode, with Wifi off, I keep getting the notification light right in the middle of the night....The tablet was just on the table for a night and a day with the light blinking, and looks like the constant blinking got to it, Its now orange/white in colour.

Anyways how do I disable this light?

Believe it or not the light was bugging my wife at night so I put a small piece of black electrician tape over the light spot and no more problems!
