HDMI Ports and connecting to HDTVs???

I have an HDTV and bought a tablet specifically so I could watch content on my tv from the tablet.

However it doesn't seem to work. I connect the cord, I set the output to 720p, the TV supports 720P, but when I go to the right screen which for me is HDMI1 nothing shows up.

Now the tablet goes blank and the TV stays blank for a while but eventually says no signal.

any help? I have the apad 710 and am wondering it it has to do with HDCP?

First, test your TV and cable with other device to make sure they are OK.

If they are, open Terminal Emulator and run this line (hit RETURN/ENTER in the end):

setprop au.ui.enable_hdmi_advanced true

It should add some special settings in Settings -> Display that may help.
