HELP HELP HELP 32GB version netbook android 2.3 netbook

I have got this android... downloaded some apps. everything worked great... turned off the machine. Next day turned it on. it says not installed when you click on the icon. I went back to google android market, redownloaded.... same thing again. I bought a new micro sd card... did it again.. same thing again. How do you keep the applications you download? Why am I losing them?
