Dear Concerned
The OS (Android ICS) in my ONDA Vi40 has malfunctioned and is not starting and letting me do anything. It starts and gets halted where the android animation is being played. It does not go to the login screen or home screen for that matter at all.

I am worried as I have recently bought it a couple of months back. I hope someone can tell me how to re-install the OS in such machine using the USB cable connecting my ONDA to my laptop (Windows XP)

Any one's help will be highly appreciated.

Regards,
Waqas

Before you do the firmware re-flash, you should try a factory reset:

please choose Your Onda Vi40 Elite Setting==>> Backup&Reset (System)
You will get
Back up my data (Back up app data,WI-FI passwords, and other settings to Google servers)
Personal DATA
Factory data reset (Erases all data on tablet) ==>>Choose it

I don't have one of these tablets and I don't know anything about them except that I read some good reviews about them, but I did a quick search and found this website that tells how to re-flash the firmware. If you try it and it doesn't work or makes things worse, please don't blame me. :) Good luck getting it going again. Oh, welcome to the forum.
