Help needed in identifying android tablet

Hi ppl,..

A friend of mine brought me 3 android tablets to play with. (he is a complete computer noob)

The first one is working, but fairly buggy.
I can't find any brand/type/model etc so the only thing i can give you is some pics.

My question:

What is this and is there an upgrade.
If there is an upgrade, where can i get it and how do i deploy it to this device?

It's virtually impossible to download the rom to the pad itself. Wifi keeps disconnecting, i can't find the rom itself, altough i registered on the forum that the image points me to.

Any other suggestions?

use google, you should have no problem finding what you need.

I've found some links that could be useful, problem is that i'm new in this android tablet world. I have read multiple posts about pads being bricked using wrong software.
That's why i'm asking here before i go and try stupid things
