hi all im new to this tablet thing and im battleing to connect to a wi fi network. i got a shinco mid-7088b as a gift with android version 4.0.3 on it and kernel version 3.0.8+ and base band version 0.45. no while i was in Japan i bought a small router that has the option of ap and router that u select manualy. i pic the router up on the tab but when i enter the passphrase it just doesnt connect all it does it says authentication problem or keeps looking for the ip address. i have reboted the router tried ap and router setting i have done a factory reset on the tab and still nothing still gives the same problem. please can anyone help with this issue i have

Portable routers like what it sounds you have need 2 things. Configuring, and a connection, usually by network cable. I'm guessing you have a network patch cable attached and the other end is in your router or a wall jack?
