1. I recently won this tablet in an auction, but when attepting to dowload any app, goes through the actions the get message that download failed
2. The support phone # given in the boo is USELESS! I need a # to speak to a live person!!!

You won't get live support. We're about as close as you'll ever get, as Coby went out of business in September of 2013.
