Help with message coming up please.

Hi all,

first off thank-you all for the sound advise you have given me so far, but if i may can i pick your brains once again. As you know i am trying to find out what make & model i have, I am going into settings, then i click on about device and a message then comes up "The application settings process com.android. settings has stopped unexpectedly. please try again. I try again but get the same thing, has anybody any ideas please?
