Hold Switch stuck? Proper operation?

Hi guys!

I just got my Le Pan II from BestBuy.ca

I have a question about Hold Switch. How do I operate it? Seriously...

On my Acer A500 I just slide it. But on Le Pan I feel resistance so I don't want to break it. Do I need to press it down first? How hard?

Or unit is defective?

Any ideas?

It should slide. It's a pretty firm click on my Le pan ll very easy on the S.
