How can I re-mount the inner SD card on my tablet?

I have a generic Allwinner tablet running Kitkat 4.4. The internal memory on the tablet is 32GB. 16GB is labelled "internal storage". The other 16GB is labelled "inner SD card".FTAOD, this isn't a physical/ removable SD card. Seems to be some kind of logical partition in the internal memory.

By mistake I unmounted the inner SD card. I actually wanted to unmount the external (i.e. removable) SD card.

The option to mount the inner card is now greyed-out (In Settings/Storage).

How can I mount the inner card? Any help greatly appreciated.

Reboot. The inner storage should remount automatically.

Traveller, thanks and I've tried that already. No joy, still showing greyed out.

Back up any data you have, enter recovery, and perform a factory reset.

Traveller, thanks again - factory reset hasn't worked either. Still showing inner card as un-mounted.
