How do I update my Apps?

I have noticed that several of my apps have a small green arrow in the corner of them. When I go into the apps menu, I see that those apps need updating.
When I click on the Update button I get a small message near the bottom that says I must have Google play installed to complete the updates.
I cannot get Google play on my Kindle Fire, so how can I update these apps? I got the apps through Amazon app store!
I should also say that I do have Go Launcher installed, but even if I go to the apps through the carousel I cannot update them.

Go to Amazon app store hit the apps tab then press menu button it should say apps update
