how to root and upgrade

Please help me.
How to root and upgrade my devices that is roverpad tablet.

My device's information is following.

Model number: sdkDemo

Fireware version: 1.5

Kernel version : 2.6.25 rockchip version 1.7.4 (yuxing)

Build Number: RK-1.3.2.eng.root.20100612.025602


If this forum has similar post,please give me link that i can read.

Root is temporary unless you modify the firmware

I don't understand clearly.Please how can i root.Can i use universal root.apk?
