I'm an android noob...how do I?

exit applications? When I'm on home-screen and click the 3rd soft button to show applications running, I have like 5-6 apps running in the background. Is there a way to completely exit apps? I have the browser running, Hero Of Sparta, Settings window, Games window etc etc...how do I exit/quit/close them?

lol nvm. found out the third navigation button is the "recent" button. I thought those are currently running apps. My bad!

Download advanced task killer from android market "free" and for convient app killing add a widget by pressing the plus sign at the top corner of homescreen, press "widgets" tab and find the little green android, press it, once that's added to the homesceen just click it to make easy app kill, what else is nice if you ever freeze up a app, kill it with the widget and reopen your app- it will refresh
