info assistance: apk - install/uninstall

my first tablet - flytouch2
only have 1G internal memory - for installing apk

so just wondering when i install a apk and later on decided to uninstall it - does android complete deletes all the install files + the actual apk file

app2sd - i've read a little info on it and it seems u need to go through so much hassle to enable it
is there any other software that will:
- when d/l app from the market - it gives me the option to save the apk file in the sd card
- allow me to install the apk file on the sd card

any tips on how u guys conserve memory space

when you do an uninstall thru the android "manage applications" it will delete the downloaded apk file. I would think if you have an external card installed that it would be loading the apk files to a folder "\download".

You can delete only the downloaded apk file by uninstalling the program ?
Isn't it waste of storage space ?
I only wish to delete the apk file in the internal storage and still use the program.
They don't seem to display the files on the internal storage ?
