Installing Apps

This may be a stupid question, but I am a noobie, so tell me, when I install an app from an SD card can I then delete it from the card?
I ask because I installed an app and it put some files on the SD card.
I am happy with my tablet a MID but adapted in the UK by my supplier so that I can get market etc

You can safely delete the apk file after install. The installed app should reside in data/apps. Just a thought though, if it is the only copy of the apk you may want to keep a copy somewhere in case you need to re-install it sometime in the future.
