Internal Memory and SD Card?

Hi again, having just purchased my Android 4.0.04 A13 tablet I was checking out the specs and am confused.

the unit was advertised as 1GB Ram and 8GB storage.


On checking I find it says; internal storage 1Gb 0.08Gb available
SD card 5Gb 495mb used
Ram 354Mb. available 200mb (varies slightly)

I have no micro SD card plugged into the external slot so am confused by internal memory and why it's
showing 2 storages?

Any advise would be appreciated as am new to this system and tablets in general!

What you see is pretty standard and very normal. The Android operating system and stock apps are using both the internal storage and the RAM. No problem. You didn't not get ripped off!
