Introduction thread

Well here goes. Retired US Navy, now working as Plant Safety Coordinator at the worlds largest bakery. I learned computers from the grass roots in SoCal. Build my own so the hardware side is not to difficult. Now I want to learn about the programming of android phones and devices. I have my PC set up with the SDK, Eclipse and JDK. Looking now to download a firmware package to open and start learning how it all works. If there are any Chicago members out there that are willing to teach and coach great! I would love to help out on development as this is some pretty neat stuff.

Welcome aboard!! Glad to have new users and members! I would be the last person to give advice on the programming side of things but there are plenty of guru's here. I would check out the s7 development section and the rest of the forum. There are a bunch of other knowledgeable people on xda since you want to dig into the software side of things.......
