Is 2GB enough internal memory?

My tablet is on the UPS hearse back to Amazon and I'm in the market for a replacement. Lenovo's taking orders for its Ideapad A1 ($199 for the 2GB and $249 for the 16GB). I have another, cheaper budget tablet in mind, but the A1 beats it on everything but the internal memory (and price).

Is 2GB enough? I have an 8gb microSD, but I know apps download to the internal memory, and there are apps that let you move them to the external SD but they can still leave gunk in the internal bit.

I spent $161 on the Coby, which worked great up until Wednesday night. I use the tablet to read, do a little web, and maybe some YouTube, so I don't need a powerhouse. If I can shove apps onto the external card, the 2GB + 8GB should be plenty for my needs.

I went hate to spend money on a brand (we have two old, old Thinkpads still chugging along, though they don't have the specs to function with today's OS and software) and have insufficient specs.
