Is there a program or app that is like this?

I'm sure this app is probably right in front of me but I just don't know what I am looking for, but I use my eee pad for school alot and I'm having trouble getting documents that I. Have sent from my tablet to open on the computers at school. So what I am asking is if there is an app of some sort that allows these files to be more compatable with say like windows or Mac computers? Sorry if this is a dumb question I just really am new to this tablet deal and have no idea how it all works really.

take a look at Google Docs, or at Sugar Sync. these apps allow you to have copies on your local machines and in the "cloud" and can be accessed via a browser, so things pretty much work as you would expect. Google Docs does have an option to convert MS-Office to their format, so be careful if you are using the same docs different places.
