Is There an App for Keypad?

I have just purchased a 10.1" Allwinner A20 tablet, with the addition of a case with a keyboard. When using the tablet screen keyboard to write an email, I get the email address after typing the first couple of letters, and the word completion as I would expect. However, when I connect the separate keyboard, I lose this facility. Is there a way to bring this back into use through settings, or is there a separate app. for this. (I'm a novice, so please be patient with me). Sorry if this is a silly question, but any help would be appreciated.

I'm fairly certain the text prediction is a part of the various on-screen keyboards. Most will allow you to tuen that on or off so I don't think an external keyboard would/could do the same thing. But I may be wrong. It's possible there's an app for that.

What you say makes perfect sense and is really what I thought. I will have a trawl through apps. and see if I can find one, although I am by no means hopeful. Thanks for your help anyway.
