JellyBean (4.1) due out soon... How do I update ICS (4.0)

When Android 4.1 comes out, do I have to wait for my vendor to update it from 4.0 or can I update it myself. I have a chinese Yuandao N90. It is a good tablet... fast, clear, cheap and i am happy with it, but don't have a clue where the Yuando website is.
