keytap sound wont work

does anyone know how to get the sound back when im typing? ive tried the system sound settings and the keyboard settings but it makes no difference,the keytap sound wont work. the screen select sound works ok but theres no keytap sound when i type. i know its not a big deal but its annoying me that it wont work. any ideas???
