Kyros 7022 Root?

Hi,
I 've a coby kyros 7022 and I was reading about rooting but I didnt understood very well.
Why should I root it?
and.... if any of you can give a step by step list how do it? specially if you can give me the files to do that...

Root is the operating system super-user. By enabling it, one can modify system files, so any kind of system mod requires rooting.
