Overkill? But the company can’t be stopped, and it has just become the first manufacturer to create a smartphone display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. To put that in perspective, most people’s TV’s are 1080p. The same goes for computer monitors, and for that matter, many laptop displays aren’t even 1080p.
Be that as it may, this is going to be an incredible display. At 5.5-inches in size, it features a pixel density of 538ppi. The display is also set to feature class-leading contrast and color reproduction. And will it ever be bright; the display will feature 430 nits of brightness. In terms of size, it’s also the world’s thinnest panel (1.21mm thick) and has the narrowest bezel (1.2mm).
