Live Wallpaper Lagging the A500?

After I got my A500 I of course set out to play with all the bells and whistles. I downloaded the Inferno Galaxy Live Wallpaper and love the way it looks. However I was noticing that my tab seemed to be less responsive. I just chalked it up to loading down the tab with all the media and applications.

Today it really began to irritate me. On a lark I switched back the the OE wallpaper and the UI became "snappy" again and it seemed that even the browser was more responsive.

Has anyone else noticed this?

When you are in an app, the live wall paper should be frozen and not slowing your phone.
But on the desktop it can have an effect, especially the third party ones where the programming
is often somewhat suspect.

When you add in the battery usage live wall papers really aren't worth it other than to show off.

Try Light Grid Live Wallpaper. It's really cool in a graphic design sort of way, and doesn't really cause any lag.
