Hi,
I have in my possession a tablet with (afaik) a 300mhz processor, 128MB RAM and a not particularly responsive touch screen (nxttab7bl).
Now, as a tablet for general use, it's pretty useless. It struggles to display web pages, seems to struggle with videos no matter how small I shrink them and generally isn't a pleasure to use.
My questions are:
1) Is there a custom ROM or a way of installing a bootable e-book reader to basically turn the thing into a cheap kindle-style device?
or
2) Which is the most stripped down, light-weight, no frills ROM I can get that will have nothing installed other than an e-book reader (would even be happy with no network settings etc.) to try and milk out what performance I can to make the ebook reader a little more responsive?
Thanks in advance for any advice
