Marketplace w/o Gmail?

I just got my first tablet and am trying to set it up. I tried to use my google account info, but the silly machine keeps demanding a gmail account. I don't have gmail, and my google account uses a yahoo address. is there a workaround?

I haven't heard of any workaround. Why don't you just go get a GMail account, they're free?

Thanks for the prompt reply, y'all. I was hoping to avoid another password to remember. I'll get a gmail today. :-(
