Microphone On RCA Maven Pro Tablet

I have a new RCA laptop that I can't seem to figure out how to use the microphone. The manual says to click the microphone icon at the top of the home screen but I don't see one.
I've checked the settings but don't see a setting for this.

Does anyone have any suggestions on this?
