MID7015 Lost Wireless Access

I recently bought a MID7015. I had access to my wireless network. I rooted the device. Following that, I can not access the network. I verified that the Wi-Fi setting was checked and network properly defined. When the unit powers up, the unit does not connect to the network. I tried to access an open network that had a weak signal. The connection was established, but due to the signal strength was not able to hold it. Any ideas?

My device is not rooted but during my initial connection I had to change security to wep instead of wpa. Not sure if that helps.
