Music file formats

Is it asking too much for a developer to put the file formats the player uses either on the Play post, or his web site?

I wanted a player that does .MID. I need to preview as I use quite a few for ringtones. FLAC is up and coming. The only player that listed everything and included MID was Astro.

I have no objection to paying for an app, I'm trialing Astro and it seems to work, but it's overkill. I don't need the album covers, heavy duty mixer, genres, etc. All I want is a list in alphabetical order. I've ripped most of my stuff from CDs I own.
