my android tablet does not see adhoc wifi.....is this fixable?

hi i know this is an old topic but im new to android tablet....jsut got one from my friend but it does not see my mobile phone as a router wifi

my laptop sees it and connects fine

if i can not connect to wifi using an android tablet what use is it?

can anyone help me connect to adhoc using android tablet with android 2.3 on it

fyi....i tried to root my android and i believe i succeeded as there is an icon on it called superuser .....

If your android tablet is unable to detect wifi signal itself, then you can download Wifi Finder from Google Play store. It works quite fine and has got a better reviews from its users.
