My MID 729 Android Will No Longer Power On

I recently bought this tablet and up until recently it operated fine. Now the red light stays on when charging and I never get a charge on the battery. Any suggestions as to what I can do?

Hi als, wellcome to the forum! Check first of all if is your charger, sometimes they break, hopefully it's just that.
