Well it arrived..
interesting it is brand new all sealed up tight in shrink wrap... interesting was that the sale price listed is $249..... that is what is on the invoice...
Note included if a problem to return it to the local store or can be mailed back to them...

So this is really a brand new = not refurb. unit. straight from B&N in New Jersey.

Same thing here -- overnight shipping from NJ, and the invoice doesn't show the actual discount price. Came with 1.1.0 installed.

With 11,000 sold on ebay this week, I'm sure they went through all the "open box" returned ones in the first day.

It has only been on sale for 3 months, they have not even made any refurbs available in any outlet.
