Newb here hailing from well the southeast to be as specific as i can... I'm n the army and currently stationed at Fort Stewart, GA but my wife lives in Orange Park, Flordia and my parents in Lillington, NC. looking into getting a tab, def an android, most likely a 7" and probably the acer A100 or the toshiba thrive 7.... i do own a droid bionic which in the otterbox case (a must if you like the outdoors at all or are clumsy at all) is almost the size of some 7" tabs... 
I use my phone as my camera for my offroading adventures with my jeep (hello fellow jeepers out there) which is a wrangler, and so far this seems like a great place to learn about my future tablet purchases.
