Need help rooting my VTAB1008

Does anyone have a guide and files to root a VTAB1008? My vizio update service is fcked up and i really want to manually upgrade to Honeycomb. This is my daughters tablet and Netflix will not work for some reason on Gingerbread. Vizio was no help when I tried to get support to fix the update service. So i would rather hack the device and run my choice of system like i currently do on my HP touchpad.

Or does anyone know where i can get the .zip Honeycomb update file for VTAB?

Any help is appriciated.

It is not possible to root honeycomb at this time. The only thing you can do is start with a clean install of .57 via Android System Recovery.
Then, just update it.

There is no place you can go to root the VTAB currently. We know we have looked and tried everything. Your best bet is to follow Elitewolf's advise and do a clean install of version .57, then allow it to update to Honeycomb by itself. The only way to root the VTAB is with version .56, even though we are getting close, we have not been able to get a full rollback to .56

In .57 and after Vizio has done its best to close all the exploits that rooters use to open their device.
