Hi everyone,

Need some help with the brand and firmware for my tablet.
I bought a tablet on BuyinCoins. When I bought it, they advertised with a 10 inch, Android 4.0.3, Capacitive screen and a 1,5Ghz processor.
After 3 days they changed the advertising with a resistive screen and Andriod 2.3.4. When I reveived the tablet, the processor was only an 1Ghz.
Now I'm in dispute with them.

I want to upgrade to Android 4.0.3, but I can't find any information on the brand/model or similar.

Does somebody know what kind a brand/model the tablet is? Or which firmware I could use?

The specs/pictures of the tablet:
10 ePad A10 1.5GHz Google Android 2.3 Wifi PC Tablet Webcam 4GB 512MB DDR3 #04 - BuyinCoins.com

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you very much.

Their site seems a bit confusing if not misleading, if you go into Settings>About what can you find?

Thank you for your quick reply.

In the Setting/About I found this information:

Model number: Benign 1029A
Android version: 2.3.4
Kernel version: 2.6.36-android jackwu@ubuntu #8
Build number: v2.0_en

With the app Android System Info I found this extra info:
API level: 10
CPU ABI: armeabi-v7a
CPU ABI2: armeabi
Hardware: sun4i
Board: crane
Brand: softwinners
Device: crane-evb
Fingerprint: softwinners/crane_evb/crane-evb:2.3.4/GRJ22/eng.root.20111228.163421:eng/test-keys

Nobody can help me?

I really want to upgrade to ICS.

Thnx.

Hi AlexPrimer,
Thank you for your help. The Powerchick seems to be the same, but with ICS.

Maybe someone can get me more info through the build.prop for a upgrade.
Any help would be appreciated.

Most A10-based tablet has very similar spec but different hardwares(wifi/g-sensor/touchscreen,etc). Do not go about flashing unknown firmwares unless you are able to revert to your original rom.

There are also cases where certain firmware release will update touchscreen firmware which might mess up your touchscreen if you are not careful.
