need OTG or USB host solution for Onda V701s Tab

I am a new user to android tab. Couldn't use OTG cable to my tablet (Onda V701s quad core ). please help me on this matter. if i have to do rooting the device, please tell me what to download and how to do.

Onda have a bad habit of using casing which means the USB connector sits really deep. I don't know is this is the case with this model but I , and others, have had success by cutting back the cover of the OTG cable to expose more connector with our machines. I have a V973.
