I have this tablet or a sllight model different it s a maxwest tab-723 from the day i opened the box it has been a paperweight the ui runs very choppy it reports the ram as 178mb but it is supposed to have 256mb, the wifi drops alot and 3d apps are pretty much wont run. does anyone know if there is a custom or modded rom for this device to make it usable.

I thought it would be a good tablet when i read the specs. Im not sure if its just a bad rom a hardware problem but as it runs right now i cant use it. the ui runs so bad that i have trouble launching some of the simplest programs. I cant have more than one app running at a time flash player wont run on it and streaming videos like you tube is impossible. I am pretty sure it is supposed to run better than this. I researched building a new rom for it myself but I dont have the time and as I cant get a copy of the stock rom i would have to build from scratch and since I like good java skills and am a novice at best it is out of reach. I have considered throwing it out in the trash.
