There's a new Android tablet in the world arena that will receive Jelly Bean. This one is made by Karbonn Mobiles, and is called the The Smart Tab 1. It has just been released, but what is unique about this device is that it will actually be one of the first tablets besides the Nexus 7 to get Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The company has confirmed that their tablet will be soon receiving the Jelly Bean OTA update, and future versions will come with it installed. It also happens to be only $125 bucks. Here's the full spec breakdown:
  • 7-inch Display
  • Single-core MIPS processor at a clock speed of 1.2GHz
  • 2-megapixel front camera
  • 3G support through a dongle
  • Seven hours of battery life while surfing and eight hours of battery on video
  • A micro-SD slot
As you can see, these specs are not going to light a fire of excitement for too many people. Still, the price is nice, and it's commendable that it will get Jelly Bean so quickly. This seems like a great product for its intended market.
