New (Larger) SD Card

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, with an 8 GB SD card. Between all of the apps, photos, music and other stuff on this card, it is nearly full.

I would like to purchase a 16GB card. If I do this, do I simply copy everything (or just some files) from the 8 GB card to the 16 GB card (using my computer) and then insert the 16GB card? Or is there some other procedure?

Yes, you can copy the data from the 8G using your PC. You may want to consider a 32G as the price difference is negligible. Anything over a class 6 will work fine.
